1st Annual SEVAS Birdathon
March 15 - April 15, 2025

The birds need US, and we need YOU.
Form a Team | Gather Your Pledges | Count the Birds

Good luck to all Birdathon teams this month, as they challenge themselves
to see as many species as they can within 24 hours
to support Southeast Volusia Audubon Society’s programs.

Click on any one of the donate links to support your preferred team.

Our birding window is Mar 15-Apr 15, 2025.
Active team members gather pledges and then find as many birds
as they can on their 24-hour/one-day outing.
Friends, family, colleagues, local businesses, corporations pledge
on a per-species basis, or make a flat donation.
The former increases competition and elevates excitement!

  • Organize a team – two or more, who can all bird together. Give it a birdy name, choose a day for your outing, and plan your route to maximize bird counts. Collect pledges/donations from sponsors: friends, family, coworkers, anyone! Then have fun and count bird species for up to 24 hours on your team’s big day!

Upon payment, you will receive an e.mail receipt. Choose your pledge option:

    1. Flat Donation A flat Birdathon pledge is a one-time pledge, rather than a donation based on the number of birds seen.

    2. Pledge per Species To pledge a set amount of money for each bird species your team sees, email Robert at birdathon.sevasnsb@gmail.com.  Some choose to pledge $1/bird!

Your donations help power SEVAS! We sustain conservation education,
habitat restoration, community science, and encourage
the community to plant native plants to foster birds and wildlife.
All proceeds go to help our SEVAS Mission:

Protecting Birds and their Habitats Through
Conservation Education, Advocacy, and Action.
