The best way to learn about wetlands and the plants and critters that
live in them is get your feet (and maybe knees) wet and experience
them. Dr. Bill Grey, Rollins College Field Botany Professor, will
lead a wading hike through wet flatwoods, cypress domes and swamps of
Longleaf Pine Preserve to observe the life within them.
Wear shoes and pants or shorts that can get wet. Bring water to drink.

of natural Florida and learn how a terrific photograher captures the
very best photos of local wild places and critters.

Grasses and Their Look Alikes
Wiregrass Prairie Preserve
Lopez Rd., off Pell Rd., off Maytown Rd.
Saturday, September 27
Dr. Grey will lead us on another hike to observe and learn about those
baffling grasses, sedges and rushes that stump so many plant
enthusiasts (like me).

shoes that can get wet. Bring water to drink and a hand lens if
you have one.
So much to discover. Let me know if you'd like to join us.
